PRIORITY
Our priority is two-fold:
In uncertain times such as these when global changes need to be made to preserve the health of the world’s population, we too need to adapt, whilst recognising that we are a “front-line” service and that we need to continue to deliver a service to our clients. The very nature of the work that we do requires specialist legal advice and representation and it is our intention to continue to provide that to you.
To that end, we are writing to let you know about the precautionary steps we are taking to ensure that we are able to continue providing our services to you in the light of the current COVID-19 situation and in line with the current Government guidelines.
Future meetings/conferences
Where possible you will be asked to have your meeting via skype or telephone. Where this is not possible, you will be invited to attend our offices.
Wellbeing in the Office
Before entering our offices, you will need to confirm:
On entering our offices:
We stress that at this time these are precautionary measures for the wellbeing of all. We have no reported cases.
Remote Working
All our staff have the ability to work fully remotely. This is currently a regular practice, one observed for a number of years.
Documentation
We would ask that where possible documentation is sent to us electronically via email.
Court hearings
We are awaiting formal guidance from the court service and Ministry of Justice. We anticipate some hearings will be via telephone/video link and or skype. This is not a new practice and has been carried out nationwide within the court service for some years now. However, the scale of this practice will undoubtedly increase.
We will keep you updated once formal guidance is received.
Further Information
We will continue to monitor the situation and will respond accordingly to the evolving situation.
If you have any queries please speak with your solicitor/legal adviser direct
We wish you and your family well in these very difficult and testing times.
