June Venters QC founded Venters Solicitors in 1991, motivated by her strong sense of justice and desire to serve the community. June Venters QC became the first woman solicitor Queen's Counsel in 2006, an honour until 1995, bestowed only on barristers. This was in recognition of her advocacy skills and experience throughout her career of appearing in all Courts in both Family and Criminal cases. She currently remains one of a few Women Solicitors to have achieved this highly regarded status and places her at the forefront of her profession and a leader in her field.
At a time of immense pressure on the justice system, the incredible work being done by solicitors across the country should be applauded.

Law Society president Christina Blacklaws said: “There are more than 9,000 firms and 140,000 solicitors in England and Wales, so to be shortlisted for an Excellence Award is to be recognised as being among the best of the best.
“All the firms and solicitors who are shortlisted should be congratulated for the work they do day-in day-out to support their clients, many of whom are navigating complex and challenging legal problems.
“At a time of immense pressure on the justice system, the incredible work being done by solicitors across the country should be applauded.”
