Elsbeth Wells






Elsbeth Wells heads up our department of Family Mediators. She is fully recognised by the Legal Services Commission and Family Mediation Council to carry out all issues mediation relating to Finance, Property and Children both with privately paying clients and those eligible for 'legal aid'. Elsbeth is an Accredited member of the Family Mediators' Association, she is also a member of Resolution, the Family Mediation Council and College of Mediators. Elsbeth Wells also has the status of Senior Mediator which is the 'gold star' qualification for family mediation and is the most senior qualification in the field of mediation.

Elsbeth is a qualified Professional Practice Consultant and therefore able to supervise both Legal Aid and Private Mediators. She now focuses the majority of her practice on Finance Settlement, although she is fully qualified to consult direct with children in the mediation process and so well able to carry out all issues mediation. Elsbeth has enhanced CRB clearance.

Elsbeth was drawn to use her expertise within the field of mediating in family breakdown due to her passion for facilitating a client centred approach to resolving conflict. Elsbeth is committed to working with clients to try to keep their disputes out of court and to seeing issues brought to closure in a fair and amicable manner. Elsbeth has a great deal of insight into the psychological effects of trauma and this balanced with her ability to manage complex finance and having a clear understanding of the court's approach to settlement makes her well qualified to mediate in all aspects of family conflict.
